Some Tunnels are made for Transportation and Some are made for Terror.
Which underground would you live near?
The tunnels are just an excuse. Israel has been slaughtering people in Gaza long before they even knew about the tunnels. And if the tunnels were such a threat, then we’d have been seeing Gazans killing Israelis using the tunnels—but we haven’t. Gaza is under siege. It’s blocked on every side. It’s a narrow strip of land that is one of the most densely populated areas in the world, and israel completely controls what comes in and out of it. Israel has not been providing enough clean water or supplies to Gaza all this time. The tunnels were the only ways in and out of Gaza. Or do you think imprisoning over one million people on a strip of land a few miles long and a few miles wide is ethical?
Even a small but growing number of Israeli soldiers have been refusing to serve in the IDF because they recognize that how israel has been treating Gaza and the attacks on Gaza are wrong (this is not the first slaughter). I myself am an American Jew who opposes Israel’s actions. For a while, I was on the fence regarding some aspects of the Palestine/Israel issue because i was hearing different information from different sides, but even before I took as strong of a stance against Israel as I have now, I was horrified by Israel’s mass killing and displacement of Palestinian civilians. Even the UN has voted to investigate Israel for war crimes due to this latest ground offensive.
I mean, can’t you at least sympathize with innocent civilians (many of them children) being killed and at least admit that Israel’s actions are completely out of proportion in response to Hamas’ rockets that have barely made a dent? The bigger issue is that Israel holds all the cards in this situation. Gazans are desperate because they are literally being slowly choked to death by Israel in this small strip of land, languishing in extreme poverty. Israel can at any time make the decision to stop these bloody attacks and stop barricading Gaza. They choose not to. They choose to continue murdering people. I’m not saying I support all of Hamas’ actions, but I find it funny that pro-Israel people keep arguing Hamas is solely to blame when Israel created this situation in the first place by barricading Gaza, stifling their economy, and miring them in poverty.
